The Magusto is one of the oldest popular festivals in Portugal. Tradition dictates that groups of friends and families gather around a bonfire to roast chestnuts, drink jeropiga or água-pé and celebrate community togetherness. Times: 3 pm - 10 pm.
Expect crowds, colour and a programme that runs late. Great for groups, easy to dip in and out of, and very much the real Algarve.
