How it works

From your enquiry to the first guest

  1. Tell us about the plot

Where it is, what you want to use the house for, and which model you are thinking of.

  2. Check the land and the costs

We look at the local rules with you and bring in a builder for the foundation, utilities and interior.

  3. Order and assemble

The factory builds the Shell in 7 to 10 weeks and ships it by sea. Two people and a crane set it on the foundation.

Questions

Before you ask

Can I live in it all year as my home?

No. ECHO builds these houses for hospitality, weekend and seasonal use, not as a permanent residence. They are made for guest units, glamping and retreats.

Do I need permission to put one on my land?

In Portugal, placing a house on land normally needs the municipality's approval, and what is possible depends on how your plot is classified. We look at that with you before anything is ordered.

What exactly is the Shell kit?

The finished outer house: timber frame, aluminium facades, tempered glass front and windows, flat roof with membrane, hidden gutters and the entrance door. Foundation, insulation, utilities and the interior are added on site.

How long does it take?

Production takes 7 to 10 weeks after the contract and first payment. Shipping comes on top. Two people and a crane assemble the Shell on the prepared foundation in one to three days.

How is it paid?

The factory takes 70 % within three days of signing and 30 % one week before dispatch. Local work is agreed and paid separately with the builder.
