Festa da Ria Formosa (30th ed.; regional gastronomy & nightly live music) takes over Faro — one of those Algarve gatherings where a whole town turns out for music, food and a proper celebration, centred on Largo de São Francisco.
Expect crowds, colour and a programme that runs late. Great for groups, easy to dip in and out of, and very much the real Algarve.
