Feira da Praia: centuries-old autumn fair with free evening shows by the river takes over Vila Real De Santo António — one of those Algarve gatherings where a whole town turns out for music, food and a proper celebration, centred on Avenida da República and Praça Marquês de Pombal.
Expect crowds, colour and a programme that runs late. Great for groups, easy to dip in and out of, and very much the real Algarve.
